The Garron Centre - Management and LCA
Llangarron Community Association (LCA) was formed in 2014 primarily to manage the development of a new community venue in the heart of the village by converting a largely unused aisle of St Deinst church. The LCA also organises community activities and developed this website.
As the years have passed the role of the LCA has evolved from being heavily involved with the building conversion and the opening of The Garron Centre, to the ongoing responsibility for managing the venue and supporting the community.
Funding for the development project was secured from a number of sources including The Big Lottery Fund, Hereford Historic Churches, The Garfield Western Foundation and Severn Waste.

The Garron Centre
The Garron Centre was opened in 2015 and provides a contemporary venue in a historic setting with comprehensive facilities including underfloor green energy heating and insulation, a fully fitted commercial style kitchen, toilets (with baby changing and disabled access), a large hall and a smaller mezzanine area. The centre is fully accessible to those with mobility issues. High specification audio visual equipment with large screen projection, HD TV’s and a hearing loop all ensure that the venue can support parties, meetings and conferences. Bi-fold doors enable the space to be opened up into the church which provides more flexibility for the church community and events.
The Garron Centre is well used by community groups and also privately hired by local people and those from further afield.
