We collect and use names and e-mail information, for the following purposes:

to provide news and information that we consider might be of interest about the community
The lawful basis on which we use this information
We collect names and e-mail addresses in order to send periodic e-mail newsletters. We collect postal addresses and telephone numbers for rare occasions when we may issue communications by post or contact residents by phone - to query an event booking for example.
How we collect this information
We collect the majority of this information initially via face to face contact and the electoral roll. You are able to request an update to your details by contacting the LCA by e-mail to hello@llangarron.info
In order to comply with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), we will inform you whether you are required to provide certain information to us or if you have a choice in this.
How we store this data
We hold information about residents and remove data once someone requests the removal. Some people choose to continue to receive communications when they are no longer resident.
Do we process data outside the EEA?
Llangarron Community Association currently transfers your e-mail address to the United States in relation to the use of the MailChimp e-mail system. Mailchimp is under a duty of confidentiality and is obliged to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of data.
The Mailchimp service enables us to send you the “Llangarron News” e-mail newsletter to which you may have voluntarily subscribed. You can unsubscribe to the e-mail newsletter at any time by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link at the foot of every newsletter or by sending an email request to hello@llangarron.info
We store an Excel spreadsheet containing a database of residents on the external Dropbox file-sharing service. Dropbox is under a duty of confidentiality and is obliged to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of data.
You can request that we remove your information from the database at any time by sending an e-mail to hello@llangarron.info
Who we share this information with
LCA never sells or shares your information with any third party organisation except Mailchimp and Dropbox.
Requesting access to your personal data
Under data protection legislation, you have the right to request access to information about you that we hold. To make a request for your personal information, contact hello@llangarron.info
